Keto Bread

A grain-free, gluten-free, low-carb keto bread made with macadamia nuts and almond flour.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted macadamia nuts
  • 2 scoops protein powder optional
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 4 whole eggs or 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup melted organic butter
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Equipment

  • Coffee grinder
  • Glass (Pyrex) loaf pan
  • Mixing bowls

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a glass (Pyrex) loaf pan.
  2. Grind the macadamia nuts in a coffee grinder until finely ground.
  3. Mix together the ground macadamias, almond flour, protein powder, ground flax seeds, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, butter, and apple cider vinegar.
  5. Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until thickened and slightly bubbly.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  7. Top with slices of avocado and tomato, or your favorite cheese and sprouts, for a great BLT.

Below is one of our favorite dishes to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 4 whole eggs/ 2 egg whites
  • ¼ cup melted organic butter

(Nutrition: Fat 24 gm, Protein 12 gm, Carbs 4 gm)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°, grease a glass (pyrex) loaf pan.
  2. Grind 1 cup macadamia nuts in a coffee grinder (finely ground).
  3. Mix together macadamias, almond flour, protein powder, ground flax seeds, baking soda and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl whisk together the eggs, butter and apple cider vinegar.
  5. Add egg mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir until thickened and slightly bubbly.
  6. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 40 – 45 minutes.
  7. Top with slices of avocado and tomato. Or your favorite cheese and sprouts. Makes a great BLT too!
