Common Misconceptions
Dr. Marie Andersson’s educational background in biology, biochemistry, chiropractic, functional medicine, functional cardiology, botanical medicine, and nutrition provides her with a broad-based foundation in science, holistic healthcare, and philosophy. With over 26 years of practice, she emphasizes the importance of spending time with patients, educating them, and addressing the root causes of their health concerns. Dr. Andersson is dedicated to truly listening to her patients and taking the necessary time to determine the best path for their healing.
Some folks have misconceptions regarding what chiropractors do, however this seems to be changing. More and more people are realizing that chiropractic physicians are more likely to not just spend more time with their patients, be more whole-person focused but also tend to investigate conditions that are not so easy and obvious to diagnose, rather than dismissing these symptoms as psychological or un-treatable.
As conditions have become more and more complex, Dr. Marie Andersson has continuously expanded her education with advanced courses all over the country to better prepare her for those “obscure” conditions that can seem so difficult to diagnose and treat.
Common concerns such as high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, inflammation, fatigue and chronic disease have left a lot of confusion regarding how to manage and understand these conditions and successfully treat them.
She’s the first to admit she doesn’t get it 100% of the time, but rest assured she does not leave a stone unturned in working with her patients. Her ongoing research, continuing education and time spent with her patients means she does not have time to see a lot of patients on any given day. The office atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with a slow pace to honor the time needed for people to get the care they need in a stress-free environment.
