We're a cash-pay practice — our visits, consultations, and functional medicine testing aren't billed to insurance, and most functional medicine testing isn't eligible for insurance coverage. In some cases, standard blood testing may be eligible when medical necessity is determined; ask our team if that applies to you. Medicare and Medicare Supplement plans can never be used for labs.

Yes — upon request, we can provide a superbill (an itemized receipt for services already paid at our office) that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Superbills are available for office visits, but not for labs.

Yes — HSA and FSA cards can be used for most labs and office visit fees, alongside check, cash, credit, and debit.

You still have options — the Initial Telehealth Consultation and the Remote Wellness Package are both available to patients outside North Carolina. Because of state licensing rules, the scope of care we're able to provide can vary depending on where you're located. Please contact our office and we'll let you know exactly what's available for you before you book.

The Telehealth Consultation starts with a live conversation, and any testing is billed separately based on what's discussed. The Remote Wellness Package skips the call — testing is decided by an intake questionnaire, bundled into one flat price, and ends with a single included video review. Talk first and pay as you go, or skip the call and get one flat price — either way works, it's just a matter of preference.

For the In-Person Exam and Initial Telehealth Consultation, testing is billed separately based on Dr. Andersson's recommendations (typically averaging around $1,200 without insurance). For the Remote Wellness Package, testing is included in the flat price.

Yes — when two people attend the In-Person New Patient Exam together, the total is $625 for both instead of $425 per person. Established patients who refer an immediate family member give that family member 20% off their initial In-Person Exam or Telehealth Consultation fee (this doesn't apply to the Remote Wellness Package). Only one discount applies per visit.
