Polycystic Ovarian Syndromepcos awareness

PCOS is a combination of hormonal imbalance with blood sugar problem.  Most women present symptoms of irregular periods (starting young in teenage years), infertility, diabetes, weight gain, facial and chest hair.  Polysistic Ovarian Syndrome is typically treated with pharmaceuticals designed for diabetes management and birth control.  The use of these drugs for PCOS causes a temporary alleviation of symptoms, but does not correct it.  Most women with PCOS are told they will never have a baby.
